Bollywood playback singer Alka Yagnik shared a personal note on Instagram, revealing a battle with a rare hearing disorder. The news comes as a shock to fans who have enjoyed her melodious voice in countless films for decades.

Yagnik described a sudden and alarming incident that led to her diagnosis. “A few weeks ago, as I walked out of a flight, I suddenly felt I was not able to hear anything,” she wrote in the heartfelt post. Doctors later diagnosed her with a rare form of sensory neural hearing loss, attributed to a viral attack.

The singer expressed her struggle to come to terms with this unexpected setback. “This sudden, major setback has caught me completely unaware,” she stated. Yagnik requested prayers and well wishes from her fans and colleagues as she grapples with the condition.
